Items planned for use in a (future) Registry of Glaucoma in Adults by Department of Ophthalmology, University Medical Center Mainz, for Medical History Taking. Status of the form: preliminary, needs revision Aims: Good phenotyping with exactly defined criteria for clinical trials. Collection of pre- and postoperative morphological and functional parameters, intraocular pressure as well as conservative and surgical treatments. Health Services Research Description of the situation of the medical care for outpatients. It is assumed that 95% of glaucoma patients are treated conservatively. It is unclear how often the patients are controlled ophthalmologically in everyday medical care, including visual field controls, tolerability of medication and its side effects. * Description of findings that lead to first treatment of glaucoma * Description of frequency of ophthalmological controls in glaucoma patients (quarterly, biannual, etc.) including further diagnostics (IOP: measurement and diurnal profile, visual field determination, morphometric diagnostics of the optic disc) * Description of the first treatment and its influence on IOP and visual field defects under everyday conditions * Evaluation of criteria that lead to a switch or addition of treatment * Evaluation of criteria that lead to discontinuation of a treatment
