The MPM II estimates the probabaility of hospital mortality at 24, 48, and 72 hours in the intensive care unit. Reference: Lemeshow, S., Klar, J., Teres, D., Avrunin, J. S., Gehlbach, S. H., Rapoport, J., & Rué, M. (1994). Mortality probability models for patients in the intensive care unit for 48 or 72 hours: a prospective, multicenter study.
