Generalized seizures (Convulsive or Non- convulsive) Generalized seizures are those in which the first clinical changes indicate initial involvement of both hemispheres. The ictal electroencephalo- graphic patterns initially are bilateral and presumably reflect neuronal discharge which is widespread in both hemispheres.
