Description
Principal Investigator: Ruth R Montgomery, PhD, Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA MeSH: West Nile Fever,West Nile virus https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/gap/cgi-bin/study.cgi?study_id=phs001200 West Nile virus (WNV) infection is a mosquito-borne disease that can cause severe neurological illness. We analyzed the humoral response to WNV of subjects infected with WNV at different stages of the infection and at different levels of detail, from single cells to the repertoire level. We integrated single-cell analysis by microengraving with next-generation sequencing and identified four novel WNV neutralizing antibodies with potential use as therapeutics against WNV infection. The results indicate persistence of WNV-specific memory B cells and antibody-secreting cells in post-convalescent subjects and suggest that the antibody response itself does not predict the clinical severity of the disease.

dbGaP phs001200 Neutralizing Antibodies against West Nile Virus from Human B Cells
Eligibility Criteria
- StudyEvent: SEV1
- Eligibility Criteria
- The subject consent file includes subject IDs, consent information, and affection status of the subject for West Nile Virus infection.
- This data table contains a mapping of study subject IDs to sample IDs. Samples are the final preps submitted for genotyping, sequencing, and/or expression data. For example, if one patient (subject ID) gave one sample, and that sample was processed differently to generate 2 sequencing runs, there would be two rows, both using the same subject ID, but having 2 unique sample IDs. The data table also includes sample use.
- This subject phenotype table contains subject IDs, age, sex and race of participant.
- This sample attributes table contains sample IDs, visit number, histological type, infection time, body site where sample was collected, analyte type, tumor status, and name of the center which conducted sequencing.
