Principal Investigator: Joel Gelernter, MD, Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, USA MeSH: Substance-Related Disorders,Cocaine-Related Disorders,Tobacco Use Disorder,Opioid-Related Disorders,Alcohol-Related Disorders https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/gap/cgi-bin/study.cgi?study_id=phs000952 This study includes SSADDA (Semi Structured Assessment for Drug Dependence and Alcoholism) assessed subjects (mostly unrelated, but including some affected sibling pairs) recruited in the course of several substance dependence genetics projects. The sample includes 1,531 self-reported African-American (AA) subjects, 1,339 self-reported European-American (EA) subjects, and 2 who reported race as "unknown" or "missing".
