From September 2003 to June 2010, we recruited 618 Puerto Rican children with asthma, which was defined as physician diagnosed asthma and at least one episode of wheezing in the previous year. The recruited children include 267 from public schools in Hartford, Connecticut and 351 from randomly selected households in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

dbGaP phs001216 A Genome-Wide Association Study for Post-bronchodilator Lung Function in Children with Asthma
Eligibility Criteria
- StudyEvent: SEV1
- Eligibility Criteria
- The subject consent file includes subject IDs, consent information, subject aliases, and case control status of the subject. All subjects are asthma patients.
- This data table contains a mapping of study subject IDs to sample IDs. Samples are the final preps submitted for genotyping, sequencing, and/or expression data. For example, if one patient (subject ID) gave one sample, and that sample was processed differently to generate 2 sequencing runs, there would be two rows, both using the same subject ID, but having 2 unique sample IDs. The data table also includes sample aliases and sample use.
- This subject phenotype table contains subject IDs, post-bronchodilator FEV1, post-bronchodilator FEV1/FVC ratio, sex, race and age of participant.
- This sample attributes table contains sample IDs, body site where sample was collected, analyte type, tumor status, and name of the center which conducted genotyping.
