To better understand villi biology, human placentation, and how these relate to pregnancy outcomes, we examined the morphology and transcriptomes of villi obtained via CVS from 10-14 weeks of pregnancy and correlated these with pregnancy attributes and clinical outcomes.

dbGaP phs001320 Investigating Human Placentation and Pregnancy Using First Trimester Chorionic Villi
Eligibility Criteria
- StudyEvent: SEV1
- Eligibility Criteria
- This subject consent file includes subject IDs and consent group information. A SUBJECT_ID is labeled as a "chorionic villus sample from a single human placenta."
- This subject sample mapping file contains a mapping of study subject IDs to sample IDs. Samples are the final preps submitted for genotyping, sequencing, and/or expression data. For example, if one patient (subject ID) gave one sample, and that sample was processed differently to generate 2 sequencing runs, there would be two rows, both using the same subject ID, but having 2 unique sample IDs. The data table also includes sample use.
- This subject phenotype data table includes subject's mother's ethnicity. A SUBJECT_ID is labeled as a "chorionic villus sample from a single human placenta."
- This sample attributes data table includes body site where sample was collected, histological type, tumor status, sample's sex, analyte type, RIN, and chorionic villi sample (CVS) scores (n=4 variables; budding, vein, branching and composite).
