All of these samples were ascertained for ADHD with most meeting criteria for combined type ADHD. The collection sites span Europe and America. Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Inclusion Criteria: Cases were primarily of Caucasian European ancestry recruited in the UK, USA, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, and Germany with a diagnosis of ADHD either using DSM-IV or ICD-10 criteria. Subjects recruited were between the ages of 6-17 years.

All cases were recruited with informed consent of parents and/or guardians and with the approval of the site's Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethical Committee. Exclusion Criteria: Cases were excluded if they had an IQ<70, autism, epilepsy, a neurological disorder of the CNS, or a genetic disorder that mimics ADHD.
Description

All cases were recruited with informed consent of parents and/or guardians and with the approval of the sites Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethical Committee. Exclusion Criteria: Cases were excluded if they had an Iq under 70, autism, epilepsy, a neurological disorder of the CNS, or a genetic disorder that mimics ADHD.
