The CURB-Score is a clinical score to estimate the severity of a community acquired pneumonia. An outpatient therapy is likely to occur in patients with low risk (CRP-65/CURB = 0 Points). Taking other risk factors into account, patients with a CRB-65/CURB score higher than 1 should be considered to get hospitalised Source: Lim WS, Van Der Eerden MM, Laing R, Boersma WG, Karalus N, Town GI et al. Der CURB-Score ist ein klinisches Instrument um die Schwere einer ambulant erworbenen Pneumonien einzuschätzen. Patienten mit niedrigem Risiko (CRB-65 / CURB = 0) können meistens ambulant behandelt werden. Ab CRB-65 / CURB = 1 sollte unter Einbeziehung anderer Risikofaktoren die stationäre Aufnahme erwogen werden.
